On behalf of Mindful Destination, we warmly welcome you to embark on an extraordinary journey to the Land of Happiness, where we promise to share the true story of Bhutan through its people, culture, and spirit. Well, much has been written and spoken about this Himalayan kingdom, yet words alone cannot fully capture its essence. Bhutan reveals itself only to those who choose to experience it firsthand.
Nestled in the eastern Himalayas between the two great nations of India and China, Bhutan is blessed with breathtaking landscapes, snow-capped mountains, pristine rivers, rich biodiversity, and a deeply preserved cultural heritage. Home to just over 700,000 people, the kingdom also shelters some of the world’s rarest and most endangered species of flora and fauna.
At Mindful Destination, we believe travel should be more than sightseeing — it should inspire meaningful connections with nature, culture, and local communities. Through mindful and responsible travel experiences, we invite you to slow down, embrace authenticity, and discover Bhutan in a way that is.

THE BEGINNING

Based in Thimphu, the capital city, Mindful Destination is an illustrious tour company licensed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs under the Royal Government of Bhutan. We are affiliated with the Tourism Council of Bhutan, an apex body of the Tourism industry in the country.

Mindful Destination drew its light with a creative innovation of two different people, Ms. Tshering Zam, a travel expert and a veteran lady tour guide; and Mr. Markus Wild, a professional photographer and artist from Switzerland. Our tour programs are crafted with in-depth research and exploration.

Some of the tour programs that we look upon with keenness and uprightness are cultural, festival, bird watching, rafting & kayaking, biking, special honeymoon holidays, farmhouse stays, textile, and spiritual tours which is the brand identity of our company. Being a travel specialist and a lady tour guide myself, I take special care in customizing tours that are crafted for families.
